In this class, expect to learn breathing and grounding techniques that bring ease to the pregnancy, labor and delivery. Learn simple postures to ease back pain and prevent discomfort as your baby grows. A weekly yoga practice will keep your body toned and strong during the pregnancy. Feel free to bring a journal to class.
When I found out I was pregnant with my third baby on my 40th birthday in the summer of 2006-I was elated and scared at the same time. My other two children were more like tweens than young kids and I was unsure about the journey my body was about to go on-unsure about my ability to consciously run two yoga studios while caring for a newborn, unsure about what would happen to my body and my yoga practice. As usual, things have a way of working out. I taught yoga up until the day before I delivered Sadie naturally with my husband and midwife by my side. My beautiful 7 lb 13 oz. daughter came into this world full of wonder coupled with a bit of fierceness in her cry. Sadie is now an exceptionally beautiful and sunny six month old baby and I am allowing my life to flow as it is supposed to-letting go of what I cannot control, being in the moment with my family as much as I can and finding time to take care of myself, finding the time to nurture my yoga practice and the women I am. My yoga has taught me to appreciate the quiet moments-a deep breath here and there.

I look forward to teaching the prenatal yoga classes once again.
In my prenatal yoga class, I create an environment where the mom-to-be can take precious time for herself and the baby, take deep breaths and connect with the sacredness of her pregnancy.
I teach women to embrace themselves as a pregnant goddess and accept their heightened state of intuition, sensitivity and a strong need for knowing their own boundaries.
My class honosr the birth process as I believe that ultimately the way the birth will happen will be an unknown and my class honors all types of births from the home birth model to a scheduled ceserean birth.
A yoga practice prepares us for handling the unknown from a place of strength, patience and grace.
